Eligibility Criteria:

This program is open to a diverse range of applicants, including:

  • Medical professionals such as Doctors, Dietitians, and Nutritionists.
  • Individuals holding a Diploma, PG Diploma, BSc, MSc or Higher in Food or Clinical Nutrition.
  • Graduates in fields like Home Science, Biochemistry, and Life Sciences.

About the Course:

This 2-month master course trains nutrition professionals in the root-cause, systems-based approach used in Functional Medicine to address chronic diseases and complex metabolic disorders.

The curriculum integrates gut–hormone–immune connections, advanced biochemical pathways, detoxification systems, inflammatory triggers, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial function. Students learn to assess dysfunctions through symptom mapping, dietary patterns, clinical histories, and laboratory findings.

The course combines global research, therapeutic diets, nutraceutical interventions, and lifestyle medicine strategies. Through real case studies, learners gain the ability to design personalized, holistic nutrition plans that restore balance, enhance healing, and improve long-term metabolic and clinical outcomes.

Course Objectives :

  1. To provide an in-depth understanding of Functional Medicine principles and systems biology.
  2. To teach root-cause analysis for chronic diseases using functional assessment tools.
  3. To train students in interpreting functional lab tests (GI mapping, micronutrient panels, inflammation markers).
  4. To explore how gut health, hormones, immunity, and detox pathways interconnect.
  5. To develop therapeutic nutrition strategies for chronic inflammation and metabolic dysfunction.
  6. To study mitochondrial health, oxidative stress, and cellular repair mechanisms.
  7. To integrate nutraceuticals, botanicals, and functional foods safely and effectively.
  8. To strengthen clinical decision-making for complex cases.
  9. To establish personalized diet and lifestyle interventions for long-term healing.
  10. To build competence in creating functional nutrition protocols for various health conditions.

Key Learning Outcomes

  1. Understanding of systems-based analysis and the Functional Medicine matrix.
  2. Ability to identify root causes such as dysbiosis, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, toxin exposure, and hormonal imbalances.
  3. Expertise in designing functional nutrition plans tailored to each individual’s biology.
  4. Mastery of gut-healing protocols for SIBO, leaky gut, IBS, and microbiome dysfunction.
