Build a strong foundation in diabetes by understanding its epidemiology, pancreatic physiology, and the mechanisms underlying glucose regulation. This workshop covers the classification of diabetes, including Type 1, Type 2, Type 3C, gestational, and other forms, along with the role of endocrine pancreatic cells in maintaining blood glucose homeostasis. Participants will also explore the pathophysiology of autoimmunity, insulin resistance, beta-cell dysfunction, and disease progression, enabling a deeper understanding of diabetes and its clinical implications for patient care.
