The workshop provides an in-depth overview of gut health, describing its role as the “second brain” that influences digestion, immunity, metabolism, hormones, and mental well-being. It explains how poor lifestyle habits, stress, and diet can disrupt gut balance, leading to issues such as IBS, leaky gut, and inflammatory disorders. The session highlights the gut–brain axis through the enteric nervous system and vagus nerve, emphasizing its impact on overall health. It also introduces a naturopathic “four Rs” approach—remove, replace, reinoculate, and repair—for gut healing. Practical dietary habits and herbal remedies are suggested to support long-term digestive wellness.
